Tim Shanahan leads the Cloud Infrastructure and Software Group (CISG) at Cisco, a team that activates hundreds of field sales and specialists who deliver data center networking, cloud, and compute technology via software and solutions. He builds winning teams comprised of internal stakeholders, partners, alliances, and other influencers to build new paths to market. As vice president of the organization, he and the team are responsible for $10B+ in infrastructure, software, recurring revenue, and services driven by a customer-first focus, deep market understanding, and innovative technology. As the former leader of Cisco’s worldwide Data Center Networking business, Tim brings a wealth of experience to the role. Under his guidance, Cisco’s data center network business posted unprecedented growth – setting records in overall growth and recurring software. His boots-on-the-ground experience as a CISG product support specialist and sales leader for data center in US Commercial provides him with deep foundational knowledge. Prior to Cisco, Tim worked in various sales and sales leadership roles at IBM and HPE.   Tim is a proven leader who mentors and develops high-performing teams. He embraces a collaborative and inclusive culture while driving his teams to remain hungry and humble in pursuit of opportunities and growth for both customers and colleagues. Tim lives in Nashville, Tenn. with his wife Anne. Together, they share three children, all of whom attend the University of Tennessee. An avid outdoorsman and motorcycle enthusiast, Tim’s an active sponsor with Hope Outdoors, an outreach program that brings accessibility to outside environments for people with disabilities.
